Everytime I have to do math, this is how I feel……..every……single……time.
Let’s take it back! All the way back…….to this morning. I’ve said before that I weigh myself sporadically but I only record it if it’s Monday morning. So imagine my surprise when I hopped on the scale and it read, “182.2”…..ONE EIGHTY-TWO POINT TWO….well that’s a big pound difference from last week! That’s like 5 pounds. Naw, that CAN’T be right.
So I started getting dressed and decided I get back on the scale before putting on my clothes. I hopped back on the scale after putting on my bra and panties and almost putting on my pants. 182.4. WHAT?!?!?!??! I won’t share with y’all how I stepped off the scale and proceeded to get on and off the scale 3 more times before I realized this was correct!!!!!!!!! But 182.2 was recorded because I was naked…….booty butt naked. Don’t judge me. That bra and panties could weight .2 pounds. YOU DON’T KNOW!
I’ve mentioned that I use My Fitness Pal but I also use a physical calender to record just my workouts (daily), weight (weekly), and measurements (monthly). I do this for several reasons. I can quickly glance at the month and see how I’ve done so far. Also, I was given this calendar but I already had one for 2012 and didn’t want it to go to waste. Okay, it’s mainly because I didn’t want it to go to waste……….OKAY! YOU GOT ME! I’m a packrat and I had to think of a good excuse not to get rid of it. *storms out*

So halfway through the day, I went ahead and updated my weight on MFP but I entered 184.2. Then I thought, “Wow, I suck at math. I really thought that was 5 and some pounds this morning. 7.8 pounds lost overall is still really good!” I came home and checked again only to remember it WAS 5 and some pounds. Well hold on……192 minus 182.2 is 9.8 pounds. Oh, cool………….
Nine point eight pounds lost. NINE POINT EIGHT POUNDS?!??!?!?!?!? THAT’S BASICALLY 10 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
COACH PUT ME IN THE GAME BECAUSE I JUST REACHED MY FIRST 10 POUND GOAL!!!! Excuse me, I have to go be 729 kinds of dramatic.
*Wipes thug tears* How will I be celebrating??? Duck Confit! That’s how! I LOVE DUCK! It’s my favorite meat actually. I told myself that when I lost my first 10 pounds, I’d take myself to a nice restaurant (read: one with healthy food options) and order a duck dish. There is a place nearby called Toast! That has Duck Confit with asparagus, tomatoes and potatoes. Did you really think I’d ruin all my hard work with something ridiculous? Do you even know me at all?????????? Never mind……if you thought I would, you probably DO know me lol!
One more thing. I’ve actually been sick since Friday night-ish. Runny nose, congestion, coughing, a short lived sore throat……but I STILL went to the gym Saturday (after skipping Friday night). I STILL completed Every Week Twice of Couch to 5K. I didn’t even almost die! I powered through it! The only thing I didn’t do was my 30 minute walk afterwards. Hey, I’m not THAT crazy. And then today, guess what! I went to the gym and completed Week 3: Day 1. Again, no 30 minute walk. As my mom said when I told her I was going today despite being sick, “Wow! You are really dedicated!” Yes. Yes I am!
That’s all for now……..I have to go be conceited in front of my mirror until bedtime! I’m joking, I’m joking! I’m not really going to go be conceited until bedtime. I did that hours ago! 😛
